While form and technique are the ultimate tools to hitting a big ball, properly maintained equipment can bring out your peak potential.
Do your strings maximize your ability for hitting top spin? Does your racquet provide the accuracy and control to turn your volleys into winners? Suffering from elbow tenderness?
There is no absolute best set up for a tennis racquet in regards to string material, tension, racquet weight, etc. but there are ways to complement your style and have your equipment work for you. Djokovic, Federer and Nadal don't use a racquet off the shelf and you don't have to either. I'll help you dial in what's right for you.

Stringing done right

I recently upgraded to a Tourna 700-ES, a constant pull, electric stringer. Capable of pre-stretching, and adjusting tension in increments as small as a tenth of a pound. It's a much more robust machine than you'll find at most  other home stringers. But, just like with playing tennis, it's the technique, not just the equipment. Attention to detail is my mantra. I am the only stringer here, and I string every racquet as if it was going to the US Open. Take your racquet to a retail store or club and you’ll have any number of employees with varying levels of skill, experience and care completing the job. Some are great, not all.
I can keep my rates affordable due to lower overhead than most traditional stringers. Pay for the service, not a store.

I have a Briffidi Swing Weight Machine, various scales, Alpha Balance Board and an ERT-300. These tools can accurately measure how head light or head heavy your racquet is, as well as give you the advanced metric of swing weight. There's no one size fits all best measurement, but depending on your play style and goals, customization could increase your potential. I work out of my home in Phoenixville. You can often find me playing at the high school tennis courts, right down the street from my house. Want to play?

Standard turnaround is 3 days, often done sooner in the off season. Immediate, same day stringing available upon request at $20 upcharge.

Synthetic Gut Strings - $7
​Polyester Strings and Multifilament - I only charge whatever the cost is from the major retailers. Please see my "in stock strings" page for a more accurate list.

Natural Gut - Please provide your own, and I do charge an additional $10 to string with NG, as any reputable stringer should. Due to the fragility of the product, it takes me nearly twice as long, and requires a thorough cleaning of all my tools before and after each job.
